Anyone can browse tournaments to see which are listed and of those which are active. However, you cannot submit a request until you have created an account. Once you have created your account and logged in, you will create your profile (you do this just once). Your profile will include the nickname you want to be known by at PartnershipDesk, your name and a description of your bridge skills and accomplishments. You will then add a membership in a bridge organization (only ACBL is recognized at present), giving your total masterpoints, the number of points you earned last year, and the system(s) you play. You'll check off the events for which you want to find a partner (or teammates), list any other important considerations, and submit your request.
If there are suitable matches already in the system, you will be given the opportunity to invite a player immediately. Otherwise, you will receive an e-mail notification when you have been invited. You can check for possible matches at any time.
When both individuals have accepted the match, they will receive each other's real name and e-mail address and can communicate directly to make the final arrangements to play.
